The base paths were crowded tonight, for both Eastside and Lakeland’s offenses. Lakeland beat Eastside 10-6. Eastside got things rolling in the top of the first inning, scoring 2 runs on a Lakeland error. Lakeland tied it up, in the bottom of the second inning on a Jennifer West sacrifice fly. Then Lakeland pulled away, scoring 3 runs in the third inning. Elise Edwards had a line drive home run over the left field fence, that scored 2. Lakeland scored 5 runs in the 5th inning. Edwards earned the win for the Lakers in the circle, striking out a season, and career high, 14 batters, scattering 5 hits, and walking 2. The Lakers were lead offensively by Keirstin Roose, going 2 for 3, with 2 RBI, and Edwards going 2 for 4, with 3 RBI and a HR. Bailey Hartsough also had 2 hits for the Lakers. Kylee Palmer, Grace Arend, Carlynn Olinger,Hannah Harris, and Ali Sines all also had a hit. Every one of the Lakeland starters had a hit on the evening. The Lakers are back in action tomorrow night @ Fremont.
