Tuesday night the 8th grade boys took on JR NECC Conference leader Angola. The Yellow Jackets started off strong; scoring 16 points in the first quarter and jumping out to an early lead. The early deficit did not rattle the Laker boys as they would continue to battle and slowly chip away at the Angola lead. All the hard work on the defensive end would payoff as the Lakers outscored the Yellow Jackets 13-2 in the 4th quarter and would go on to win 30-25. The Lakers stellar defense held Angola to 9 total points over the final 3 quarters. Offensively the team was led by the trio of Tommy Curtis, Ben Keil, and leading scorer Deion Marshall.
The Lakers go on the road tonight against East Noble.
