Student-Athlete Handbook – Page 8
Student-athletes may participate in more than one sport per season. A meeting of both coaches and the Athletic Director prior to the first contest shall take place. All practice schedules and athletic contest participation shall be determined at this meeting. At the conclusion of this meeting, all participants must agree to the terms; that would include coaches, the student-athlete, and the Athletic Director. If an agreement is not reached, then the student-athlete is limited to one sport per season.
It is the goal of the Lakeland Athletic Department to provide our student-athletes with a positive experience through sport. With that, we will always try out best to accommodate student-athletes who are looking to participate in multiple sports in the same season. As long as participation is in the best interest of all parties involved.
Breakdown of Priority
Any student-athlete will need to establish their “priority” sport. In the event of a conflict, the “priority” sport will be taken into account, and will be put first.
