The Sources of Strength program at Lakeland Jr/Sr High School will be running a canned food drive generosity campaign from Monday April 26th through Friday May 14th. Canned goods may be sent in with students who attend Lakeland Jr/ Sr High School, and those cans will be collected during their first hour classes. The general public is also invited to participate in this campaign, and may bring canned food donations to Door 1 at the Lakeland Jr/Sr High School main office. Donations will only be collected from 8:00am-3:00pm each school day.
Sources of Strength is a student led group focused on universal suicide prevention. It is designed to link students from different demographics to connect to one another and to promote positive strengths in their lives. Sources of Strength promotes Physical Health, Mental Health, Family Support, Positive Friends, Mentors, Healthy Activities, Generosity and Spirituality. The canned food drive is to promote our strengths in Spirituality and Generosity. The food collected during this campaign will be donated to the Clothes and Food Basket in LaGrange, IN.
