The offensive array of Lakeland senior guard Cole Harp is vast.
From pull-up jumpers to slicing drives through the lane, to his soft 3-point shot behind the arc. Harp has hurt the opposition in many ways over the past three-plus seasons.
The 6′ 1″ guard etched his name in the Lakeland Boys’ Basketball history books on Thursday night as the Lakers competed against NECC Conference Opponent, The Churubusco Eagles.
Harp’s 1,000 career came on an aggressive third quarter drive to the basket, as he pierced through the Eagles defense. At that point, it was just Harp and an easy left-handed lay-up, which he has made countless times prior! Harp’s current total stands at 1,002 points. He will continue to have opportunities to increase his overall total with five guaranteed games remaining.
The Lakeland Athletic Department wants to congratulate Cole Harp on scoring his 1,000th career point! Your mark on Lakeland’s athletic history has been made, but will continue throughout the rest of your senior season.
